Willie Odom Sr. aka: “ Mr. O ”

 

Greetings; allow me to introduce Willie Odom Sr., aka: “ Mr. O ” Singer, Songwriter

and Musician. “ Mr. O ” began his musical journey at the age of 6 by plucking the violin as a

guitar. This was an unusual way of getting started into his musical journey even though he had

not developed an ear for music. Little did he know that God would intervene at the prefect time

to stir up the gift inside him and later lead to the developing of his own style and music career.

After moving to the guitar and playing in church, “ Mr. O ” later moved on to playing the piano

and organ. The keys have become his primary instruments. Through out Mr. O career in music,

he has been influence by many named artist such as; Alicia Keys, Sade, George Benson, Hank

Crawford, Jimmie McDuff, the late Conrad Johnson of Houston Texas, and the Third World

Reggae Band. During the era of when music and lyrics were written with quality/substance,

Willie Odom music has been linked to this genre of ole school better known as real music with

feeling.The past 20 years the Bible Church Of Holiness in Houston, Tx., is where he's resided as

the minister of music. Adopted and raised in the USA “ Mr. O ” has a heart and love for London

England and yes he’s been there to perform on various occasions. Now on the label: Gospel

Frontiers Records London England UK. Willie Odom’s CD, Title: Please Don’t Quit, was

performed and released in London, as an eight song CD ranging from Traditional, Gospel R&B,

Latin and Jazz instrumentals. The songs are uplifting and encouraging. Returning to London

again for a CD single release Title: Compassion and He's Coming Back, performed with his

England musician/singer partner “ HannaH ”. “ Mr.O ” Latest Cd single release : “Yes Jesus

What makes “ Mr. O ” INTENSE: The intenseness of working toward perfection and quality to

give to the listening audience. His audience is important to him to receive encouraging words
